| White Laced Red Cornish-Standard Chicken |
These are Show Quality Fowl, chicks are $3.00 each. Hatching
Eggs are $1.50 each.
Birchen Old English Bantam are very friendly and make excellent
pets, requiring little feed and space.
The base feather color is black with a greenish sheen. The neck
and upper breast feathers are white with dark, narrow stripes
running the length of the feathers creating the appearance of a
lace collar. The chest will have a chevron type coloration
pattern on each feather, due to a delicate silver lacing around
each feather. The back feathers of the male will display the
same color pattern as the neck collar. The females do not
display color on their back.
The hens are non-broody and lay a small tinted egg.
The standard size for a male is 24 ounces. The standard size
for a female is 22 ounces.
We suggest a feed ration of 20% protein, and a handful of
Scratch and Greens daily.
