Blue Cochins range in color from light grey to dark slate blue.
Cochins are heavily feathered down the shanks and toes and
appear to be much larger than they actually are. They are very
gentle, excellent setters, and require little space.
The standard size for a Rooster is 32 ounces and the standard
size for a Hen is 28 ounces.
The hens are excellent setters, and prolific layers of white to
cream colored eggs.
We suggest a feed ration of 20% protein, and a handful of
Scratch and Greens daily.

- The color Blue is a unique genetic factor as is the constant recurrence in
the offspring of not only Blue Chicks, but also Black, White, and Black/white
combination. All of these chicks will carry the blue genes and when mated
Black on White or with other Blues in turn produce many blue offspring.
Not all of the chicks will be blue, you may get 4 possible colors. Hatching
Eggs will also result in 4 possible colors of chicks.
