All photos of birds and chicks are taken of our actual
birds. We do not use stock photos or go to shows to
take photos.
Personally any birds we would be interested in
purchasing we would wish to see the parent stock
and believe you would also like to see the parent
stock.
We are not professional photographers so our
pictures will not be perfect, but they will reflect a true
image. Please email if we can be of further
assistance.

Like all wildlife, quail require food, shelter and water to survive
and reproduce. Quail will use water holes and other sources of
free water but prefer drinking dew and eating berries and
insects. Quail feed seasonally on fruits, leafy vegetation, and
insects. Seeds make up the bulk of their diet throughout most
of the year. It is best to remember that quail seldom move far
from cover to feed and are poor at scratching to uncover seeds.
The bobwhite home range usually does not exceed 1/4 to 1/2
mile.
Check with your local Wildlife Authorities to see if a permit is
required for pheasant or quail.
If you plan to release these birds into the wild you must check
with your local wildlife authorities prior to release.
We suggest a feed ration of 24% protein, and a handful of
Scratch and Greens daily.

"We are a small
hatchery so please
bear with us. We
are trying to keep
up with demand but
we are restricted in
that good breeding
stock is hard to find
and slower to
develop. We refuse
to use inferior
breeding stock
simply to increase
our production."
