Polish Breeds are an old domesticated breed of poultry long
valued for their quiet manner and exceptional laying ability.
Gold Laced Polish are a very attractive crested and bearded bird
with Rich Golden Bay feathers Laced with Black and are one of
the few breeds with a very unusual "V" comb. They are considered
a standard breed but will be slightly smaller than traditional
"laying" chickens.
The Polish breed are exceptional layers of a medium sized white
egg, making them both useful, as well as, attractive. The hens are
not broody. We enjoy their comical antics and gentle disposition.
Standard weight for males is 6 pounds, females 4.5 pounds.
We suggest a feed ration of 20% protein, and a handful of Scratch
and Greens daily.
