These are Show Quality Fowl-Chicks are $3.00 each and
Hatching Eggs are $1.50 per egg.
Mille Fleur bantams are the most popular variety of d'Uccles.
They are a multi-colored variety with many feathers. The
feathers are a rich bright reddish gold, with each feather having
a greenish black stripe and tipped with a diamond shaped white
spangle. Hence the translation "Thousand Flowers." Their tail,
legs, and toe plumage is black with each feather tipped with
white. The presence of vulture hocks, heavy leg feathering, and
a wide-set tail make them unique and unsurpassed in beauty.
We have found that their coloring will get richer with age.
This beautiful breed of bantam came to Europe from Japan in
the 17th Century and are found in paintings of many early Dutch
artist.
The standard size for a Rooster is 26 ounces and the standard
size for a Hen is 22 ounces.
We suggest a feed ration of 20% protein, and a handful of
Scratch and Greens daily.
